Health & Wellbeing
If you’ve made it here, well done. You’ve already taken the first, and often the hardest, step towards feeling your best. We’ve got plenty of activities to support your body and mind and help you feel great.
Let’s put you first
At Sally Gardens, we offer plenty of activities to help you put your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing first. It’s a chance to step away from everyday pressures and take time for yourself.

Here’s a taster of what we offer at Sally Gardens:
We run classes every day for all abilities, including options for young people, older groups, beginners, and more advanced users, with some sessions combined with meditation and mindset work for a full wellness approach.
Feedback continues to be really positive with people reporting that they have gained confidence, improved their fitness and mental health, reduced anxiety and even secured employment after years of being out of work.
There is a weekly yoga class in the centre, with approximately 12-15 participants every week.
This is a mixed ability class, and people of all ages enjoy it. Participants report greater flexibility, less pain, and feeling more relaxed as a result.
We’ve run a range of flower-arranging and craft workshops, including Autumn wreaths, Christmas table centrepieces, Valentine’s arrangements, and Easter wreath making. Each class takes around 10 participants and the feedback is always brilliant.
Our nutrition workshops are always well attended with around 10-15 participants. Our nutritionist works with each person individually and tailors the advice to their needs. Each session includes trying different healthy foods, and people leave feeling more confident and better equipped to lead a healthier lifestyle. On average, 10–15 people attend each workshop.
We offer a range of alternative therapies throughout the year, keeping them as diverse and needs-led as possible to support the emotional health and wellbeing of our community. Past activities include Sound Healing, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, ACEs sessions, Music Therapy, Mindfulness, and Trauma-focused support.
Since launching the Colin Wellbeing and Resilience Programme, we have registered 447 participants, each engaging in a range of courses, workshops and activities at the centre.
Participants can also be referred for alternative therapies, and additional wellbeing support.
Our CHANGE Programme focuses on holistic wellness and is designed to take people on a journey of personal growth, strengthening their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of their wellbeing.
The outcomes have been outstanding. Participants report feeling like the “best version of themselves”, with improved emotional regulation, increased physical and mental strength, and healthier relationships at home. Participants have also formed strong friendships, creating a supportive network that continues beyond the programme.
We accept referrals from GPs, schools, local organisations or through self-referral, which is currently our most common route. Once enrolled, people are kept informed of workshops and courses that they might be interested in to ensure we continue to meet their needs.
