Poleglass Community Association @ Sally Gardens have been out and about in the community delivering a range of support services as part of The Warm Well and Connected programme funded by Department for Communities. The programme has been extremely successful in tackling and mitigating the ill-effects of the pandemic on people, families and communities. The Healthy Living Centre Alliance across the region have been supported by the Department for Communities to deliver a host of online workshops and programmes to help us get connected, take care of ourselves and learn new skills. The programmes and workshops are completely free to access. Whether you go for our regional or local programmes you will be welcomed. Warm, Well and Connected is there for you as we all try to take care of ourselves and others during winter. Department for Communities Minister, Carál Ní Chuilín, announcing the fund, said: “I am acutely aware of the detrimental impact the pandemic has had on people’s emotional and physical wellbeing, so addressing loneliness and isolation, emotional wellbeing and financial hardship relating to household bills, is a key focus of this support. This funding will be directly targeted at the most vulnerable, including children and young people; carers; older people; people living with a disability; and anyone who has lost income as a result of Covid-19″.
