Call 3 Building Your Future Employability Project

PCA @ Sally Gardens are delighted to have been successful for Call 3 ESF Employability Programme.  The Call 3 Employability and Training programme has been launched in Sally Gardens Community Centre. This programme is for any person over the age of 18 not in work and/or economically inactive. i.e. not in work or receiving benefits. We can also support school leavers and people who work 16 hours a week or less. This programme is funded by European Social Fund, DfE,Urban Villages and Belfast City Council.

Programmes and support will be available to assist employment in all sectors but we have specific courses and programmes in sectors such as administration, construction, hospitality, beauty and health and social care.  Please contact roisin@sallygardens.org, ciara@sallygardens.org, brian@sallygardens.org or Tel 02890 627250.

OCN L1 Community Safety Awareness

OCN L1 Community Safety Awareness

As part of our CIT Community Safety Programme, 10 young people completed the qualification, well done for all their hard work and dedication.  Participants of the course will gained an insight into:

  • Why people become involved in Anti-Social Behaviour;
  • The impact that Anti-Social Behaviour has on a community;
  • The positive and negative impact of identity on personal behaviour;
  • How to address Community Safety issues;
  • What is meant by the term Restorative Practice;
  • The importance of Conflict Management Techniques.

Massive congratulations from everyone at Sally Gardens and our participants who attended the centre today to watch the OCN NI Learner Endeavour Awards #ocnawards22 Open College Network Northern Ireland We are so proud of Megan Brannigan who received highly commended and Naomi Wright who was recognised as overall winner in the category of Health and Well-being Learner of the Year. Both girls were shortlisted in this category of over 200 nominees – they are worthy winners and deserving of their awards. Well done!!

Level 1 Plumbing & Electrics

Well done and congratulations to participants on our Building Your Future Project who have completed their DIY Maintenance Course achieving their Level 1 qualification. The group learnt basic practical skills and enhanced their knowledge on plumbing and electrical installations.
