In the absence of face to face recruitment events, we have utilized all engagement methods , Zoom, Facebook, UTUBE Channel and our online training platform as a key tools for engagement with both current and potential participants. We have continued to post regularly about upcoming courses many of which have been delivered online. During lockdown, participants completed an online cookery programme whereby they received weekly videos which they were tasked with making. The participants then took photographs of their masterpieces and forwarded these onto the tutor. They were able to complete both units of their qualification through information received in the videos and regular sessions on telephone and/or in group chats. Regular group and one to one mentoring sessions have also been carried out both via Zoom and in person each week at the Colin Allotments. These sessions have proved to be beneficial to the participants and helps us recognise who needs additional support and/or signposted. Our Horticulture project has been extremely successful delivered at Colin Allotments for further programme details contact roisin@sallygardens.org.
